Seven long checklists
Thirteen of these fourteen advancements are challenges, together worth 2,485 experience, and seven of them are checklists. Each list has to be finished in one world, because advancements are saved per world.
- Adventuring Time
- 55 Overworld biomes in Java 26.2, with the four cave biomes among them: lush caves, dripstone caves, the deep dark and sulfur caves. Standing in a biome is enough.
- Monsters Hunted
- 41 mobs, both bosses included. The elder guardian, phantom, shulker, zombie horse, camel husk, parched and zombie nautilus are easy to forget. The warden is not on the list.
- Two by Two
- 26 animals. The mule counts when you breed a horse with a donkey, and the sniffer, nautilus, strider, hoglin, frog and armadillo are on the list as well.
- A Balanced Diet
- 40 foods, including rotten flesh, spider eye, pufferfish, poisonous potato, suspicious stew, chorus fruit and both golden apples. Cake is not on the list, because you eat it as a placed block.
- A Complete Catalogue
- 11 cat variants. Village cats spawn as one of ten at random, and the all-black cat only spawns at a swamp hut or in a village on a full moon night.
- The Whole Pack
- 9 wolf variants, one for each biome where wolves spawn: Pale in plain taigas, Woods in forests, Ashen in snowy taigas, Black in old growth pine taigas, Chestnut in old growth spruce taigas, Snowy in groves, Rusty in sparse jungles, Spotted on savanna plateaus and Striped in wooded badlands.
- Smithing with Style
- 8 armor trim templates. Spire comes from End city chests, Snout from bastion chests, Rib from Nether fortress chests, Ward and Silence from ancient city chests, Vex from woodland mansion chests, Tide from elder guardians and Wayfinder from suspicious gravel in trail ruins. Silence is the hard one, with a 1 in 80 chance per ancient city chest. Applying a template uses it up, so copy it first with seven diamonds and a block if you want to keep one.
The one-off challenges
- Arbalistic
- Five different kinds of mob killed with one crossbow shot. Piercing IV lets an arrow go through four targets and hit a fifth, and armor stands and mannequins count as kinds. It stays hidden until you earn it.
- Over-Overkill
- 100 damage, which is 50 hearts, from a single mace smash. The target's health doesn't matter, so any mob will do. With an unenchanted mace a critical smash needs a fall of about 47 blocks, and Density V brings that down to about 14.
- Beaconator
- The only goal on this page, and it gives no experience. The pyramid takes 164 blocks of iron, gold, emerald, diamond or netherite, and the game checks the moment the beacon switches on, so finish the pyramid before the beacon goes on top.
- Cover Me in Debris
- 16 ancient debris and 16 gold ingots make the four netherite ingots, and every piece needs its own netherite upgrade smithing template. Having all four pieces in your inventory is enough.
- Uneasy Alliance
- You have to be in the Overworld when the ghast dies, so it has to come through a portal first.
The last two, A Furious Cocktail and How Did We Get Here?, need 17 and 34 effects active at the same moment. The Nether tab lists every effect they check and where the unusual ones come from.
